Trafton Hall Science Addition & Renovation
Description:
This multi-phased project addresses the need for more up-to-date, code compliant, space for the science and engineering programs. Phase 1 provides a new science laboratory and classroom addition. Areas that require high ventilation and wet labs will be housed in the new addition. Chemistry, geology, and biology currently located in the existing building will be relocated to this new facility. Phase 2 continues with the renovation of vacated spaces for the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology and the new Civil Engineering program. Construction of the new science center addition and renovation of the existing building will address the lack of space, adequate ventilation, code and regulation compliance, computer and telecommunications infrastructure, deferred maintenance and mechanical and electrical systems upgrades. The additional laboratory and classroom spaces will greatly increase and improve spaces for science and engineering students and faculty.
