Classroom, Event Management, and Resource Scheduling (CEMRS)
Welcome to the Classroom, Event Management, and Resource Scheduling (CEMRS) Webpage
A systemwide team has worked for several months to evaluate and select a vendor to replace the room scheduling software in place at most of our campuses. The Chancellor and the Leadership Council have endorsed the selection and the system wide implementation design.
The overall goal of the project is in alignment with Chancellor Rosenstone's strategic framework objective: "We will be the highest value / most affordable higher education option." To this end this project will allow the campuses of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities to schedule their space more effectively and efficiently, by assuring consistent and accurate data and measures across the system. Through consistent data integrity, this project will define a more objective process that will allow each school and the system to tell the full story of its space utilization and improve the quality of space management decisions.

We have a date for the final school to go live on EMS Campus: October 10. We will be completely implemented on EMS Campus across the MnSCU system. Congratulations to everyone for all the hard work to reach this exciting milestone.
As the project is winding down we are starting the transition from a project to an operational system. Meetings are occurring between CEMRS project staff and system office facilities staff to bring the project to completion and prepare for ongoing operational support.
The annual EMS Conference will occur in Vail, Colorado on September 16-18. MnSCU will be well represented at the conference. As part of the project celebration, presentations from what was learned at the conference will be presented.
The project celebration is planned for Tuesday, October 29th at the Quarry Center in Waite Park. The tentative agenda is:
|Monday, October 28|
|Tuesday, October 29|
