Allocation Framework
Technical Advisory Committee
As a way to continuously improve the allocation framework, the Technical Advisory Committee will provide on-going analysis and review of the operation and design of the allocation framework and its components. The Technical Advisory Committee will provide recommendations on improving the operations, design, and implementation of the allocation framework to the leadership Council through the Finance and Administration Committee.
The Technical Advisory Committee has identified the following principles to be used as general guidelines to assist us as we make adjustments to the allocation framework.
- Predictability
- Reasonable change in allocation amount from year to year
- Reasonably anticipate the upcoming change
- Simplicity
- Flexibility - can adapt to changing circumstances
- Recognition of differences in institutional missions
- Supports access
- Encourages good stewardship
- Student/learning focused
- Maximum campus autonomy in how funds are allocated
- Should consider how collaboration can be rewarded
- Attention to interrelationships between components within the model and to relationship of tuition to allocation
