Accounting Module Conversion
As part of the Information Technology Services Strategic Investment Plan for Fiscal Year 2007 (Goal #4), an initiative has been defined to migrate all Integrated Statewide Record System Uniface applications to the open standards technology platform currently used as the development language for ISRS web applications. The new language, Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE), is in common use in the market place, it requires no end user licensing and it provides functionality to develop graphical, work-flow driven applications for the Web.
The conversion of the AC (Accounting) module and supporting transactions to J2EE provides a foundation for the future conversion and more effective integration of other finance-related ISRS modules.
