Laura joined the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system on October 28, 1996. She was Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Finance from 1994-1996 and before that appointment she served as Assistant Commissioner and State Budget Director.
Her accomplishments include leading the administration's successful efforts to return the state to financial health with four balanced budgets, capital and operating budget reforms, and restoration of the state's rainy day fund. She holds a master's degree in business administration from the University of St. Thomas and a bachelor of arts in psychology and statistics from the University of Minnesota.

Judy Borgen

Judy joined the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system on July 1, 1995. She had previously been with the Minnesota State University system for 8 years. Prior to 1987, she served as a higher education executive budget officer with the Department of Finance for 11 years. Her current activities include helping to develop the FY2008-2009 biennial budget. She holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD.

Tim Stoddard
Associate Vice Chancellor for Financial Reporting

Tim joined the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system on June 18, 2003. He previously was employed with Andersen/Arthur Andersen LLP in Chicago Illinois for over 25 years. Tim has had extensive experience in management, auditing, financial reporting, tax issues, and federal government contracting. He received a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Iowa. Tim also maintains Illinois Certified Public Accountant credentials.

Allan Johnson
Associate Vice Chancellor for Facilities

Al joined the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system on March 30, 1998. He previously served as an Airport Affairs Director for Northwest Airlines and administrator with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. He has over 30 years of broad management experience in facilities and utilities management; environmental protection; facilities planning, design, and construction; contract administration; financial management and personnel administration, most of which was gained as a commissioned officer in the Navy's Civil Engineer Corps. He holds a master of science in civil engineering from the University of Michigan, a bachelor of science in electrical engineering from Polytechnic University of New York, and is a registered professional engineer.
